What is keeping you Awake?

Aside from side effects of some medications, biological imbalances, and or depression, the answer is Stress.

Everyone experiences occasional sleep problems, but getting a good night’s sleep is essential for feeling refreshed and alert during the day. Lack of sleep might make you feel foggy and unable to concentrate, or just a lesser version of your normal self. Sleep problems cause more than just sleepiness. A lack of sleep can cause accidents, will eventually disrupt your work, family and personal relationships, your health and mental prowess; and make you feel generally “disconnected” from the world.

If your sleeplessness is caused by a tough deadline or a common cold, you might not have trouble getting your sleep back on track after the deadline or cold go away but when you are experiencing it on a daily basis and don’t get relief from medication… Your nights become a Nightmare!

Let’s take a look at how our brain responds to Stress:

The brain's normal way of responding to stress is to activate the sympathetic portion of the autonomic nervous system. In other words it gets you ready to fight or run from any threat to your existence.

Whenever your subconscious mind perceives a threat to your ego, family, financial, or social status, it also prepares you to fight or run. Yet, as you lie there in bed with these thoughts of the day's mistakes and missed opportunities second guessing yourself, your subconscious mind is partially preparing you to fight.

Sleeping requires the activation of the parasympathetic nervous system which can not happen if your subconscious is busy getting your body ready to fight or run. It's physically impossible to sleep if your sympathetic nervous system is activated. Unaware of what's going on, your conscious mind gets further upset and you get angry with yourself. You end up with both the conscious and subconscious brain keeping you awake !

Noises keep you awake? Through hypnosis your subconscious mind can screen out these noises such that you can live next to a railroad and never hear the train go by.

Or maybe your sleep is simply restless and you awaken feeling like you haven't slept.

Hypnosis combined with EFT will allow you to experience a deep relaxation and the worries of the day will just seem to vanish! Experience finally a healthy, restorative sleep.
